Infinite Wishes Foundation was inspired by Joan and the brave battle she fought during her illness. We continue to find inspiration in each and every person we serve. Heroes come in many forms and we stand in "awe" of their strength, determination and attitude in the face of adversity. Greg Robinson, SGM, is the first ever amputee to complete grueling Army Air Assault School after losing his leg in Afghanistan in 2006. (Read more about Greg below).
We are honored to have him as the first recipient of our Infinite Heroes "Gratitude Tour". Greg Robinson was our inspiration and he has joined us as the Assistant Director of our Infinite Heroes Program.
The mission of Infinite Heroes is to provide respite trips (“Gratitude Tours”) to active duty military and veterans that have been combat-wounded and are permanently disabled, and/or mobility impaired, or have a service related life-threatening illness. In addition, through our “Giving Thanks” program, we deliver 500 gift bags to Veterans Nursing Homes annually during the Thanksgiving holiday.
Sharona, a retired veteran of the U.S. Navy, wished to spend some time at the beach with her daughter. With the help of Mike Cosentino of Cosentino Construction in Sarasota, FL, there was a flag dedication ceremony and a sand sculpture done at the pier in conjunction with her visit to Siesta Beach.
Nick, is active duty military in the U.S. Army, and has received two Purple Hearts for his service to our country. He wanted a getaway with his wife, Abby. His wish was to go to Kennedy Space Center and to go offshore fishing. With the help of Infinite Wishes Foundation, the Sarasota Elks #2495, and a timeshare donation from one of our committee members, Nick and Abby got to spend quality time away in Daytona Beach.
Todd, is active military in the U.S. Army. He wanted to spend some time away with is family to reconnect after a year-long deployment overseas.
Our annual "Giving Thanks" program delivers over 700 gift bags to VA Nursing Home veterans in FL, NJ, MD & VA during the Thanksgiving holiday.
